By the lights of the calendar, today in North America is the vernal equinox, the springtime occurrence when day and night roughly equal each other. It is a universal six day (home, safety, family),  in a 4 universal month (focus, determination and work), in a 1 year (innovation, leadership, initiations and endings).

We are in a time of the verdant, in spring, a dynamic point of change in the course of a year. A time in which we still experience the rough trade of winter.  The harshness of the hibernal season is not over, though that time is drawing nigh. Going forward, fortitude is necessary to protect that which we love, that which we hold dear.

Spring urges us to celebrate that turn in the tide, while simultaneously cautioning us to maintain the protective stance  necessary to travel from the wilds of winter to the tides of summer.
