2+5+5‎ = 12/3

Think about the energy of 12/ 3day – as truth, as your real joy, your authentic self.  In a 9 year, in a 9 month, this is 3-9-9 energy, the kind of thing that points to a message of completion…culmination.  And when nine energy is repeated, the message is doubly important- it’s in our best interest to lean into the energy.  Simply put, using the energy of a 9 to bring things to a conclusion gives us the resources and the will to do the things we’ve been meaning to do. It allows us to take actions under conditions which favor closures of our own choosing.

But not just that…as double 9 energy celebrates our victories and also acknowledges our accomplishements, it paves the way for the subsequent steps in any situation.  The end allows for future development (not the least of which is tomorrow’s Autumnal Equinox, a 4 day). Today’s work is the way we can say yes to what’s next. 

This eclipse day and the weeks rippling out after it, features at least four signatures that indicate conditions that need adjustment or finalization in order prep us for our forthcoming chapters.

First, there is a new Moon – New moons are just that new, so young in a lunar cycle that no light shines forth down on earth.  The lack of light is accompanied by less vitality.  As we progress in the 30 day lunar cycle, our strength and resolve for new initiatives grows. Give yourself points for doing the work, imperfections and all.

And that new Moon is in Virgo – Virgo spaces are characterized by diligence and analysis, and while these are wonderful traits…over the top Virgo energies can trend overly critical and uptight. The new moon urges us to step back from such excesses. 

And that new moon is ALSO a Solar Eclipse. – During a solar eclipse, the light of the Sun (associated with yang energy) is blocked, leaving us feeling uncertain.  Things are unclear, much like the Moon card in the tarot, which presages a mysterious time when shadows dominate over bright sunlight.  Such conditions urge deeper consideration.

Plus this Solar eclipse features the South Node conjunct the Sun – This day’s aspect of the Sun and Moon also strongly engage the south node.  Traditional Hellenistic astrology suggests this eclipse, is, like the numbers indicate, a time of closure and letting go…a time to focus more on our inner resources rather than our external indicators.  As we examine our motivations and goals…think about how our priorities have changed…think about how pulling back from the strum und dram of life gives you a different perspective

When we release what we’re done with, we free up energy, typically feeling less restricted by rules that no longer serve our higher wishes. Again, be kind to yourself through this transition. 

And for extra credit, those of you, more conversant with astrology may also note the presence of the Sun on 9/21/2025 sitting in opposition to Saturn, an influence that defines boundaries.  Saturn is oft associated with the number three – today’s universal number — which demands that we approach things with a maturity that acknowledges limitations and constraints; it’s a wicking away of non-essentials to reach our core.  To express our authentic self, requires us to adapt a mindset that accepts that elects some things over others.

So follow the spirit of the day and this eclipse…tune into where you can take yourself to the finish line where necessary.  And be mindful that finales require space, grace  and time to get used to…which is another way of saying resting during and after eclipse is advisable, no matter what your chart configs are.

If you are an 8 life path, the 3-9-9 pattern of the eclipses asks you to lead with integrity and resolve.  You are here to manifest, to put certain realities into motion.  Your contribution to society is leadership is through service and mastery.  Remove blocks to principled stewardship.

You are here to serve as the calm in the storm, a beacon for humanity..becoming the emotional touchstone of any community you belong to.  Remove conditions that impede your natural grace and empathy.
